Horror From 1983

Well, this is the first post. What do I say? Well, I could start off by saying I watched the Samuel Arkoff's produced backwoods slasher film The Final Terror.and I mus say that it's one of the best second tier slasher film from the golden age of the slasher film. Conflicting reports say that it was shot in 1979 and canned until 1983 in attempt to cash in on the fame of Daryl Hannah, Rachel Ward and Adrian Zmed.

It also starred John Friedrich who was touted to be on of the biggest stares of the 80's. He was Joey in The Wanderers and also starred in the television period piece mini-series drama The The Thornbirds. He also had roles in acclaimed films Thank God It's Friday and the character 'Squeeze' in the James Woods vehicle Fast Walking. After his promising acting career, he seemed to drop off the face of the earth, but in 2007, Friedrich addressed a seminar in Hawaii about his career and that he wanted to return to acting. It was a welcomed gesture from Friedrich, and at the present, John does theater in his spare time in New Mexico where he lives with his family.

The Final Terror is a very atmospheric little slasher film that needs a proper dvd release. how can such films like Dorish wishman's A Night To dismember get a legit release and the final Terror doesn't? That's fucking ludicrous!~

I'm a backwoods man who lives in the sticks of Kentucky and films that are set in the forest have always appealed to me. There's many films that take place in the wilderness such as the 80's 'white water adventure gone awry' flick called Damned River. The druggie from Bachelor Party stars in it and Julia Robert's boyfriend from the film in which her abusive husbands drives her to fake her own death and change her name. Hell, i'm too lazy to Google it, so, you'll be ok.

It's a gorgeous day out today, but I think I'll stay indoors just in case there some asshole in the hills with an axe waiting on me to fire up a joint and fuck some broad in the hills. Anyway, this is a boring first entry. What did you expect? We're talking about yours truly here.
